~ Refinishing Process ~
The refinishing process on this swing seat is just one of the factors that puts this tree swing a step above the rest. Our swing seats are sealed using the same process utilized for sealing boat decks! While this process takes considerably longer, it also ensures that your new tree swing will stand up to the elements.
While most tree swing seats are sealed using a polyurethane coating, this swing seat has been completely sealed in a waterproof, UV resistant, epoxy resin before adding additional layers of UV resistant polyurethane coating.
*Due to the length of time required to properly seal our redwood tree swing seats, we do not offer custom engraving.
Burnt Wood Accents
The redwood swing seat has honeycomb & tiny bees that have been burnt into the woodgrain by hand rather than using laser engraving. Each swing seat is truly one of a kind. All wood burned accents on the swing seat were done freehand, (no stencils used here). The honeycomb & tiny bees have been accentuated with golden hues for an added pop of color.
Made with 1” Pro-Manila rope that has a working load limit of 1070lbs per side. The Pro-Manila rope we use is UV resistant, rot & mildew resistant, chemical resistant & won’t stretch or shrink when wet. Pro-Manila rope is smoother to the touch & stronger than natural rope while still maintaining the aesthetic of old fashioned Manila or jute rope. The rope has been fastened using traditional sailor’s knotting techniques.
We offer various lengths of rope but please keep in mind that because the rope we use is thicker than what is offered with most tree swings, you will need to plan on having a bit more to secure it to the tree branch. We recommend to plan on an additional 7-10 feet of rope per side for tying your swing to the branch, just to be safe.
Handcrafted from sustainably sourced redwood, our tree swings are made with lots of love, tons of time & way too much attention to detail.

~ Frequently Asked Questions ~
How do I hang my tree swing?
Choose a healthy branch that is at least 8” in diameter. We recommend using a swing hitch knot with a stopper knot added as this will keep the rope from rubbing on the branch when the swing is in use. You can check out our quick tutorial on how to tie a swing hitch knot here
or if you prefer a different method, a quick google search will provide an endless amount of options for securing you’re new tree swing to the branch.
How do I know what length of rope to choose?
Measure the approximate distance from your branch to the ground. Then add an additional 7 - 10 feet. This is how much rope you will need per side.
(i.e. if your branch is 10 feet from the ground + an additional 7 - 10 feet of rope, you would select 20 feet of rope per side.)
*Remember, too much rope is better than not enough. We recommend adding an additional 7 - 10 feet of rope per side because we use thicker rope than most tree swings so it takes a bit more to securely tie your tree swing onto the branch.
What is sustainably sourced redwood?
Sustainably sourced redwood is redwood that has been harvested & produced using sustainable forestry practices to protect the surrounding trees, waterways & wildlife.
By monitoring forests, maintaining sustainable harvest levels, employing reforestation techniques, (replanting), & preserving old growth forests, sustainable logging practices help to ensure that damage to the ecosystem & surrounding wildlife is prevented when harvesting wood.
