Shabby Chic Pet Bed ~ repurposed end table doubles as a cat cave or small dog bed

   This farmhouse style upcycled end table has been made into a cozy pet bed for a cat or small dog. The solid wood enclosed pet bed can be used as a nightstand, side table or end table while giving your pet a place to snuggle up & feel secure.

   The pet bed pictured with this piece is brand new & was purchased for the photos. We’re happy to include the bed if you would like although any pet bed measuring approx 14” x 18”, (give or take a little), will fit. The one in the photos is actually a little bigger.

   We chose to go with the slightly larger bed so that it would fit more securely when nestled inside the cubby. (If you would like a larger sleep area, you can always use a pet bed without the raised sides, shown on the one pictured.)

~ Refinishing Process ~

   This upcycled table has been painted in distressed off white with various green hues, before being sanded down to reveal the layers of color. The various shades of green help to give this table a genuinely weathered or aged look.

   While this repurposed table is structurally sound & has been newly refinished, please keep in mind that it is a vintage piece & will have some imperfections throughout that add to it’s character. 

   The table has naturally rusted wrought iron accents that have been added to the upper corners of the inside. The inside of the table has been done in a moss green tone to compliment the finish on the outside.

   The table has been sealed, inside & out, with a child & pet safe clear coat finish for added durability.
